Office of Campus Engagement
Creating and enhancing opportunities for campus engagement.
Who We Are
The Office of Campus Engagement (OCE) has two central charges. The first is to create, implement, and manage the Wintersession enrichment and activity period in Princeton's academic calendar, which launched in January 2021. The second charge of OCE is to create new or enhance existing opportunities for campus engagement, writ large. This includes convening campus administrators who supervise Princeton’s 18 peer-to-peer education groups on campus and partnering with other offices to put on Princeton Research Day and Community Care Day.
What We Do
Wintersession:
Wintersession is a two-week experience for Princeton University community members to experiment and explore through unexpected, active, and intriguing non-graded learning and growth opportunities. Like a conference, undergraduate students, graduate students, staff, postdocs, and faculty can submit proposals to lead a session. Like a festival, there are keynote and evening offerings that anyone in the University community can attend.
Princeton Research Day:
Princeton Research Day celebrates the research and creative endeavors of the campus-wide community and is held annually each May. Undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and early career research can submit their research and be eligible for awards and cash prizes.
Community Care Day:
The idea of Community Care Day came directly from students, and encourages the entire campus to focus on rejuvenation, mindfulness, and community-building.
Peer to Peer Collective:
OCE convenes the Peer to Peer Collective, a committee representing the administrative leaders of 18 peer adviser and educator groups on campus. We gather together to learn from each other, collaborate, and develop initiatives and programs that are useful to student educators.
TigerTale:
TigerTale is a student-led Office of Campus Engagement initiative dedicated to fostering belonging at Princeton through creating custom pins and events.
